FUJITSU DUCTLESS MINI-SPLIT HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS – Provides High-Efficiency Heating and Cooling
- Fujitsu Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump Systems (Mini-Splits) make great retrofit add-ons to homes with “non-ducted” heating and cooling systems, such as forced hot water heating and space heaters such as wood, kerosene, and propane. They’re also an excellent choice for room additions where extending or installing distribution ductwork is not practical.
- The standard mini-split heat pump will provide indoor heating until the temperature outdoors falls below 5 degrees Fahrenheit so you’ll want to have another heating source on those days. If you’re going to use your mini-split system for your primary heating source, you will want to have a High-Heat/Hyper Heat XLTH type unit installed. These High-Heat mini-splits are designed to provide heating in your home even if the outside temperature is -15 degrees Fahrenheit.

SIZING YOUR MINI-SPLIT HEAT PUMP SYSTEM IS EASY
- Below is an easy and straightforward chart to use for sizing your mini-split heat pump system. The first thing you’ll want to do is calculate the square footage of the room and area you’re looking to cool and heat. Each indoor unit provides the required BTU’s for cooling and heating to maintain a comfortable environment throughout the room while still being highly efficient while doing its job, i.e., ‘Keeping You Comfortable, No Matter The Season.
- To get started picking the right mini-split system, you’ll want to figure the square footage of the room (length x width = square footage) and check it against our table below.
- For multi-zone systems, you will do the same thing as above for each room and choose the multi-zone mini-split system package closest to your figures.
